Pigmented iris cyst: Free floating in the anterior chamber
Figure 1: (a) Slit-lamp photograph showing a solitary brownish pigmented iris cyst measuring 1.5 mm × 2 mm, located at 5 o’ clock position in the anterior chamber of the left eye. (b) Diffuse photograph of the iris and the cystOn routine slit-lamp examination, a 32-year-old man with no visual complaint and normal intraocular pressure revealed a brown-colored free-floating pigmented iris cyst in the anterior chamber of the left eye [Fig. 1a and b]. Angle of the anterior chamber in gonioscopy was normal. There was no previous history of trauma, tumor, or use of prolonged medications in that eye. An iris cyst in the anterior chamber is a rare occurrence; it can sometimes detach from the anterior surface of the iris, drift freely in the anterior chamber, and occasionally reattach to the iris at some other location.[1,2] Declaration of patient consent The authors certify that they have obtained all appropriate patient consent forms.
