A young female with endothelial dysfunction in a case of hyper IgE syndrome
Damage to corneal endothelium occurs during chronic inflammation due to the migration and deposition of mediators and cytokines involved in inflammatory cascade pathways. We report a case of a 22-year-old young female with hyper IgE syndrome with endothelial dysfunction. Endothelial dysfunction occurred due to the deposition of fibrin and induction of neutrophil chemotaxis. Hence, early diagnosis and treatment can reduce endothelial cell loss in chronic inflammatory processes.
