A case of Atypical Keratitis by the rare fungus Pseudallescheria Boydii in a young male
We present a case of a 24-year-old male with fungal keratitis caused by a rare, atypical fungus Pseudallescheria boydii . Initially, aggressive medical therapy was given, but due to the virulent nature of fungus and its rapid spread, therapeutic keratoplasty had to be done to control the infection. Following healing and scarring after 4 months, Optical PK (penetrating keratoplasty) with cataractous lens exchange was done for visual rehabilitation.
