An unusual case of sarcoidosis masquerading as malignancy of the lacrimal sac
We report a case of a 60-year-old lady with sarcoidosis of the lacrimal sac. A 60-year-old female presented with redness and epiphora of the right eye and swelling that was felt only on palpation of the lacrimal sac area. Dacryocystectomy was done for the patient, and histopathology, radiology, and laboratory investigations led to the diagnosis of sarcoidosis of the lacrimal sac. There are only a few case reports of sarcoidosis of the lacrimal sac in the literature. To the best of the author’s knowledge, this is the sixth case reported regarding sarcoidosis of the lacrimal sac.
