Coronary ostial interposition using an external iliac artery graft for left main coronary artery atresia in an adult

Left main coronary artery (LCMA) atresia is rare and potentially fatal. Revascularization is recommended if there are symptoms, ischemic changes on electrocardiography, or failed exercise stress tests. We present an innovative coronary interposition using external iliac artery (EIA), which offers improved antegrade coronary blood flow and long-term prognosis. Institutional review board approval was not required. The patient consented to intraoperative recording and disseminating de-identified data for research purposes.
