INTENSIFICATION OF ENERGY EXCHANGE IN GAS-DISCHARGE PLASMA UNDER JET ACTION
The study and analysis of the energy exchange processes between the arc and the gas flow at all stages of burning of the high-current arc is a necessary part of the development of new types of HVAC gas blast circuit breakers. The energy exchange between the plasma of the decaying arc and the gas flow at the current zero is of particular interest, as well as the subsequent stage of recovering the electric strength of the intercontact gap after the destruction of the residual trace of the arc at current zero. Numerical methods are applied in this work to study the possibilities of intensifying energy exchange at various stages of burning of the strong current AC arc in a supersonic nozzle with a Hartmann resonator as one of the contacts and with additional jet action on the flow.
