EFFECTS OF WELD BEAD ARRANGEMENTS ON THE PERFORMANCE OF V-SHAPED ASYMMETRIC CURVED GROOVE WELDED JOINTS
This study explored the effect of gas metal arc welding weld bead arrangement on the performance of V-shaped asymmetric curved groove welded joints. Specifically, the influence of weld bead arrangements on deformation, flatness, hardness, and impact toughness of welded joints was analyzed. The signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) was converted and gray correlation was analyzed. We optimized multiple objectives with minimum deformation, maximum surface flatness, hardness, and impact toughness that met a certain target value. The best arrangement was to weld the first two layers in order from left to right and weld the third layer and the cover layer from both sides first and then in the middle. The research results provide a theoretical basis for the forming control and quality optimization of multi-layer multi pass welded joints with asymmetrically curved grooves.
