CD34 and Ki-67 Immunoexpression in Periapical Granulomas: Implications for Angiogenesis and Cellular Proliferation
These findings suggest that the persistence of an inflammatory environment directly influences Ki-67 and CD34 expression, sustaining the proliferative capacity of cells and abnormal angiogenesis. This study is the first to evaluate the presence of the CD34+ and Ki-67+ proliferating vessels in periapical granulomas.
