Growth of Nanostructured Lanthanum Doped ZnO by Electrospining Calcination

Doping ZnO with rare earth elements, such as Lanthanum (La), can significantly modify and possibly enhance its properties, by altering the electronic structure, improving the conductivity, and introducing new functionalities. Additionally, nanostructuring ZnO can further optimize its surface area, induce quantum confinement effects, and modify the carrier mobility. The electrospinning method, followed by calcination, is a versatile technique for producing nanostructured materials with high purity and controlled morphology. This process involves spinning a precursor solution to form nanofibers, which are then subjected to calcination to achieve the desired phase and structural properties. The present study reports on the fabrication of nanostructured La doped ZnO with various La concentrations by electrospining calcination.
