Wheatstone Quarter-Bridge Based Resistive Smart Sensors for IoT Applications
The paper presents a smart sensor architecture, based on resistive sensing elements in a Wheatstone quarter-bridge configuration. The energy and cost efficient system's response is a duty-cycle-modulated rectangular signal, whose ON time is proportional to the resistance swing. Its performances are assessed for relative humidity values between 20% and 80%, using carbon nano-onion-based resistive sensing elements. Results emphasize improved linear system response, with sensitivities up to 6.86 μs/%.
