The Jack-of-All-Trades for Dual-Channel Galvanically Isolated Gate Drivers: A Multi-Function Pin for Dead-Time Control
This paper presents an implementation of a multi-function pin for dead-time control in dual-channel galvanically isolated gate drivers (DC-GIGD). The system offers four independently triggered functions, via an external pin connection, including adjustable dead-time for output signals, featuring a maximum spread of 13% over temperature and process. The circuit was implemented at the schematic level using a 0.25 μ m, 5 V, CMOS process. The minimum dead-time value is 5 ns.
