Asymmetric Acoustic Driven Ferromagnetic Resonance on ScAlN/Si Based Structures
An experimental study is made on acoustic driven ferromagnetic resonance in Ni/Pt bi-layers placed in-between the interdigital transducers of ScAlN/Si surface acoustic wave based devices. The interfacial Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction imposes different magnetoelastic wave dispersions for the forward and reverse directions. We compare the influence of the heavy metal Pt on non-reciprocal absorption with that of Au. We find a small difference in the resonance fields for the Ni/Pt samples for the mentioned opposite directions.
