Study on Network Protocol Analysis and API, Data Model Testing Method of Smart Lighting System

The adoption of smart lighting systems in the public sector domestically has been slow due to the lack of standardized protocols. To address this, ETRI has developed an open API and data model specifications for smart lighting systems.<br/>In this paper, we analyze the layered communication protocols used globally in smart lighting systems and examine the structure of smart lighting systems as outlined in the KS C 7751 series, a Korean Industrial Standard. Furthermore, we analyzed ETRI&quots open API and data model specifications, testing them against products from domestic companies to verify their compliance. The results confirm the interoperability of smart lighting systems across backbone and local networks. We anticipate that this study will contribute to the widespread adoption and activation of smart lighting systems domestically.
