This is a cross-sectional study conducted with 130 indiviuals from three quilombola communities in the state of Paraná. For data collection, an instrument was used containing: Population characterization; Whoqol-old questionnaire; Mini Mental State Examination; Barthel Index; Lawton Scale; Yesavage Geriatric Depression Scale. General quality of life was associated with the domains of quality of life, cognitive capacity, functional capacity of basic activities of daily living, instrumental activities of daily living and depressive symptoms. Furthermore, it was possible to predict that the general quality of life of middle-aged adults and elderly adults involved other domains of quality of life, instrumental activities of daily living and depressive symptoms. For elderly individals, cognitive and functional capabilities abilities also predicted quality of life. It is concluded that the identification of associated factors and predictors of quality of life for the population of middle-aged and elderly quilombola adults can favor the planning of health actions, in addition to indicating the need for government investments.
