Real-Time Flood Monitoring Using Mobile LoRaWAN IoT Gateway: A Case Study of the Muar River Catchment

The low-lying Muar River catchment like Panchor, frequently struck by severe floods compared to higher surrounding areas like Bukit Kepong and Muar. This research introduces Mobile IoT Gateway for flood Monitoring system for the plain areas alongside the Muar River. This user-centric approach utilizes Mobile IoT Gateways to monitor water levels in real-time. Data collected by LoRa End-node is transmitted to mobile IoT gateway via LoRaWAN technology before sending to the cloud, enabling communities along the Muar River plains to proactively prepare and minimize the consequences of floods.
