Navigating the Digital Landscape: Cybersecurity and Social Media Communication in Greece
Social Media has become an integral part of communication for Greeks, as it has for people around the world. These platforms offer a plenty of benefits but are increasingly vulnerable to cybercrime. As our reliance on social media grows, so does our exposure to cybersecurity risks. The present study aimed to investigate, through an online questionnaire, the perceptions of Greek internet users regarding cybersecurity threats, the precautions they take, and their expectations from the European Union on cybersecurity matters. The study found that cybersecurity concerns everyone, regardless of gender, age or educational level. This highlights the need for targeted awareness campaigns that address the specific needs and concerns of different user groups.
