The Best Frequency Carrier in a Multipath Fading Environment for Wireless Sensor Network Transmission
The frequency of wireless sensor networks is the frequency range used by wireless sensor networks to communicate. The optimal frequency for a wireless sensor network depends on several factors, including the operating environment, desired communication distance, power requirements, and frequency regulations in the region under consideration. The frequency range for wireless sensor networks currently covers 433 MHz, 868 MHz, 920 MHz. In general, some wireless sensor applications choose lower frequencies for wider ranges, whereas others choose higher frequencies for better performance. From the results of our investigation, we found that 868 and 920 MHz frequencies provide the best frequency compared to 433 MHz. This can be observed in measurements at a distance of 100 m using either the LoRa radio configuration or low sensitivity. The 868 MHz and 920 MHz frequencies have the highest RSSI values when compared with the 433 MHz frequency. The 868 MHz frequency has an RSSI of 101.2 dBm, the 920 MHz frequency has -97.4 dBm, and the 433 MHz frequency has less than 148 dBm, which cannot be measured because it was too low.
