Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Ultra-Wideband Wearable Antenna Under Bending and Wet Conditions
This paper presents an investigation into the performance of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Ultra-wideband (UWB) wearable antennas under bending and wet conditions. The study examines the behavior of PVC UWB wearable antennas when subjected to bending, focusing on key performance metrics such as resonance frequency and impedance matching. The results demonstrate that the antenna maintains efficient performance, with S11 values consistently below −10 dB across various bending angles at the frequency range of 3.1 to 10.6 GHz. Furthermore, the study evaluates the impact of wet conditions on the antenna's performance, specifically analyzing the effects of moisture on impedance and transmission coefficients. The findings reveal that the antenna exhibits minimal performance degradation in wet environments, with S11 values remaining below −10 dB after exposure to water, thereby confirming the robustness of PVC material in maintaining antenna functionality under adverse conditions.
