GRIPE AVIÁRIA: CONSCIENTIZANDO A POPULAÇÃO.
Avian influenza outbreaks have already hit several countries and contact between domestic and migratory birds has been the source of many epidemic outbreaks, with high mortality rates in humans and animals. There is great concern about the spread to continents not yet affected, especially via migratory birds. Transmission occurs mainly through direct contact with infected birds, through saliva, feces, respiratory secretions and aerosols. Awareness-raising is therefore essential as a prophylactic measure. Therefore, the methodology of the work developed was a survey to analyze the population's knowledge of the disease. Based on the results, an informative video was produced and published. In this way, by being clear about the forms of transmission, the spread of avian influenza can be prevented and avoided.
