Role of PKI in Securing AMQP Communication
The prevalence of IoT devices has introduced significant challenges in securing communication due to the resource-constrained nature of these devices and the need for scalable security solutions. The AMQP is widely used for IoT communication, offering reliable message delivery and interoperability. However, securing AMQP-based IoT communication requires robust mechanisms to ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and authentication. PKI emerges as a key component in addressing security requirements for IoT communications. This research paper delves into the security aspects of AMQP, highlighting both its strengths and vulnerabilities. It underscores how, despite its robust security features like TLS and SASL, AMQP can still be susceptible to targeted attacks. The paper further explores the role of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) in enhancing the security of AMQP communications. By providing a framework for encryption, authentication, and data integrity, PKI plays a crucial role in safeguarding AMQP against potential threats, ensuring that communication remains secure and reliable in various applications.
