Enhanced Dual Image Embedding Technique for Robust Image Authentication
Digital image embedding techniques are widely recognized for their utility in preserving copyright, ensuring digital imprint security, and authenticating image integrity. Moreover, factors such as the selection of embedding bits and the methodology employed for digital imprint creation play crucial roles in determining the efficacy of any embedding approach. This study endeavors to introduce a novel dual image based embedding technique leveraging an exclusive-or (XOR) operation to bolter security measures while minimizing the perceptibility of artifacts within the digital imprinted image. A viable approach refining the least significant bit (LSB) replacement strategy and applying it to the pixels of the cover image (CI) for digital imprint bit substitution, thereby limiting pixel modification to a singular instance. This method facilitates the incorporation of two bits of digital imprint information per pixel, thereby offering enhanced capacity for digital imprint insertion, perceptual transparency, and security.
