Air Leakage Detection and Rehabilitation Test Methods for Digital Thoracic Drainage Systems
Closed thoracic drainage is a treatment method used after thoracic surgery. Its main purpose is to drain gas and fluid from the chest cavity to the outside of the body, restore the normal negative pressure of the pleural cavity, and re-expand the lung. Traditional underwater drainage systems often judge the patient's air leakage by artificially observing the changes of bubbles in the water seal bottle, which has subjective differences. This paper proposes a quantitative method for air leakage based on the digital thoracic drainage system, which can objectively evaluate the patient's air leakage situation and determine chest tube removal timing.
