Tech for All: Innovating Inclusive Adoption Measurement
This paper pilots an innovative survey tool aimed at evaluating the adoption of digital technology, particularly mobile-based platforms, within rural female populations. The objective is to assess the efficacy of this tool in gathering essential information necessary for designing technology-driven interventions tailored to address the unique needs of women in rural areas. Drawing upon a comprehensive review of existing literature and the collective expertise of the research team, the study incorporates geographical and demographic contextualization, alongside key adoption metrics including access, awareness, experience, and affinity. Through a pilot implementation of the survey tool within select rural communities, the research aims to explore its effectiveness in capturing the multifaceted dimensions of technology adoption among this demographic. By fostering a deeper understanding of the adoption dynamics, the research contributes to the development of more contextually relevant and impactful interventions aimed at bridging the digital divide in rural communities.
