400mm2 Wire Clamp Nozzle Based on Finite Element Analysis Structural Optimization Design
Accidents involving wire breakage in overhead line construction due to broken jaw pliers in cable clamps are mainly caused by the design of the clamping mouth of the wire clipper. This paper first introduces the structure and features of existing parallel movement of the wire clipper and multi-plate bolt wire of the wire clipper. A finite element model of the cable clamp and wire is established, and the boundary conditions and loading are determined. Two structural optimization design solutions for the clamping mouth of the wire clipper are provided, including optimization Design of the clamping mouth of the wire clipper and arc shaped design of the clamping mouth of the wire clipper. Through the analysis, it is found that the new designed arc-shaped jaw pliers of the cable clamp are significantly less likely to damage the aluminum strands of the wire compared to the original jaw pliers, thereby improving the safety and efficiency of the tensioning construction of the wire clipper.
