Analysis and Improvement Measures of Oil Leakage in Current Transformers

Current transformers are important substation equipment in power systems, and testing and diagnosing the status of transformers is of great significance for the safety of the system. At present, maintenance personnel regularly extract insulation oil from current transformers for chromatographic analysis to determine whether the current transformers are operating safely. This article analyzes the causes of oil leakage in existing current transformer oil sampling methods, and designs an intelligent oil sampling device for rotary push current transformers. The motor drives the propulsion rod to rotate and move at a fixed speed to the oil drain valve hole, and the flow data of the insulating oil can be transmitted to the terminal display screen using a computing processor and flow sensor. Personnel can accurately grasp the internal oil flow situation through data display, and can accurately complete the task of quantitative oil sampling in a short period of time. The application of this intelligent oil sampling device not only reduces oil leakage during oil sampling, but also shortens and simplifies oil sampling operation time while ensuring equipment safety, greatly improving work efficiency.
