The Power Decoupling Control Strategy for the Reinjection Multilevel Voltage Source Converter
The Reinjection Multilevel Voltage Source Converter (RMVSC) offers unique advantages in reducing switching frequency and lowering harmonic content, which makes it widely used in various fields. However, RMVSC has only one control variable (the firing angle), preventing it from simultaneously controlling both active and reactive power transmission as Pulse Width Modulation (PWM). To address this issue, this paper proposes a power decoupling control strategy based on series-connected submodule RMVSC, introducing dc voltage as an additional control variable. A dual-loop controller, consisting of an outer power loop and an inner current loop, is designed to achieve power decoupling. Finally, a control model is constructed by simulation to verify the feasibility and practicality of the control strategy, providing a new approach for power decoupling in RMVSC.
