A Precision Aggregation Method for Large-scale Inverter Air-conditioners based on Minkowski Sum

To deal with the phenomenon of insufficient flexibility for new power system, a solution idea is provided by tap the demand response potential of inverter air-conditioner (IAC) with high-quality adjustment ability. Due to the wide dispersion, different parameters and high heterogeneity of IAC, the dispatching difficulty of power grid increases sharply and the calculation is complex. A precision aggregation method for large-scale IAC based on Minkowski sum is proposed. Firstly, to better track the operation performance of IAC with high heterogeneity, a basic model of IAC is established based on the bottom-up idea. Secondly, to reduce the load of grid scheduling calculation and satisfy the privacy protection problem of end-users, the feasible region of individual IAC elastic regulation is described based on virtual battery (VB) model, and the charging and discharging power and energy boundary of VB are determined based on optimization method. Finally, the VB model of IAC is represented by Polytopes semi-plane, and then the further approximation aggregated by Minkowski sum method, forming the external characteristic characterization form of cluster. The results show that the proposed method can effectively and accurately aggregate large-scale IACs with high heterogeneity.
