Application of Satellite Remote Sensing and GIS Technology in Natural Disaster Risk Assessment
Traditional natural disaster risk assessment methods mainly rely on field investigation, historical data analysis and experience judgment, which is difficult to provide accurate information in the early stage of disaster, affecting the timeliness of emergency response. The purpose of this article is to study the rapid data collection and analysis of a large area through the simultaneous introduction of satellite remote sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS), so as to improve the timeliness and spatial coverage of risk assessment. This article applies remote sensing technology and GIS technology to natural disaster risk assessment, gives full play to the spatial analysis function of remote sensing and GIS, and conducts more detailed and deeper research on the occurrence and development law and impact of natural disasters, providing scientific basis and technical support for disaster prevention and reduction. The experimental results of this article show that the average assessment accuracy of rainstorm in 7 regions is 66.66% and 66.2% respectively by single satellite remote sensing and GIS technology, and the average assessment accuracy of rainstorm in 7 regions by combined method is 84.88%.
