Design of a Current Mode First-Order All-Pass Filter using EXCCII with Minimal Passive Components

This paper presents a current-mode first-order all-pass filter designed using an active block named extra-X second generation current conveyor, which consists of only a resistor and a capacitor as passive components. The proposed filter features high-output impedance, which is a key attribute for current-mode cascading. The proposed system demonstrated excellent performance through a process, voltage temperature assessment. The theoretical analyses and simulation results yield positive results. The resistor-less deployment of the proposed architecture is also investigated to minimize the passive component usage and provide tunability. The main contribution of this paper is a simple, tunable all-pass filter design using extra-X second generation current conveyor, which requires only a capacitor as passive component. The design's high-output impedance makes it suitable for current-mode cascading, and its tunability allows for a wide range of frequency bands. The findings of this study can have applications in various fields, including signal processing and communication systems.
