Fuzzy Soft Fuzzy SVM Model for the Prediction of Conformational Epitope

Epitope identification is a crucial application in the field of immunoinformatics, requiring the development of a dependable computational method. The primary problem with the current methods is that the uncertainty of the data leads to a lack of accuracy in identifying epitopes. The objective of the research is to propose the utilization of soft sets and fuzzy sets to effectively manage the different forms of uncertainty found in the data. The proposed model integrates both fuzzy sets and soft sets to create a Fuzzy Soft Fuzzy support vector machine (SVM) model for predicting conformational epitopes. There are six distinct scoring functions used to define the epitope. The results are compared to both the soft SVM model and the fuzzy SVM model. The proposed method for predicting conformational epitopes demonstrated a substantial enhancement in accuracy compared to previously employed methods.
