Multiphysical Design of a Chaos Generator

Abstract In this paper, an equivalent mechanical chaotic signal generator, based on Chua’s circuit, is analyzed using the isomorphy between electrical and mechanical systems using the structure-true “2nd” analogy. It enables a timefficient behavioral system analysis with the help of well-established network methods without the need for extensive experintal setups. The goal is to identify parameter stets of an equivalent mechanical system leading to a chaotic1 behavior and vizualize the behavior of such a system by means of a realized electromechanical setup.
