Frequency Selective Absorbers Based on Aramid-Paper Honeycomb Structures
This article presents design of two single-polarized frequency selective absorbers (FSAs) based on aramid-paper honeycomb structures. Second-order coupled slotlines are applied to construct a transmission channel; while thin film absorbers and carbon paste circuits are respectively applied to construct absorption channels. As a result, two FSAs are developed with the aid of corresponding of equivalent circuit models. The proposed FSAs feature single passbands with absorption bands on one side or both sides. By employing film absorbers and carbon paste circuits instead of lumped elements, fabrication complexity is reduced. Additionally, the use of aramid-paper honeycomb structures enhances load capacity, making these FSAs applicable in a wider range of scenarios.
