Verbal nominalization in Romanian: structural and functional approach
Verbal nominalization is a phenomenon that registers a significant productivity in different languages of the world, including Romanian. The transitions from the verb class to the noun class being the most numerous. However, the fact that determines these transformations is of interest. They, on the one hand, highlight the creativity of the speaking subject, and, on the other hand, they are motivated by the polyfunctionality they perform in various types of text. In the current article, we aimed to analyze the verbal nominalizations recorded in different functional styles of the language from the perspective of the structural and functional aspect.
