Bridging Coalitional Divides in the Digital Age: International Student Perspectives on Diversity and Emerging Technology
This paper explores international students’ perspectives on the unintended exclusionary consequences of emerging technologies in the United States. Through personal narratives, we address linguistic injustices in AI, inadequate virtual immigration support, the need for inclusive design, and accent bias in accessibility technologies. We aim to articulate pluralistic visions for diversity and inclusion, fostering understanding of how to support international identities in high-tech spaces.
