Expound the concept of timber and tone quality

This study aims to clarify the concepts of timbre and tone quality. To achieve this, we employed methods such as studying theory, practice, and methodology, recognizing and defining the subject of study, and summarizing findings. The concepts of timbre and tone quality are broad theoretical and practical issues that intersect multiple scientific disciplines. In music, timbre is the source of sound and represents the subjective aspect that expresses the unique characteristics of sound, while tone quality is related to the physical properties of sound, representing the objective aspect that expresses the structure of sound. Through this research, we aim to clarify the understanding of timbre and tone quality and incorporate it into the research cycle, which we believe has theoretical and practical significance for conducting more detailed and in-depth studies in this direction in the future. This study will explore the possibilities and effects of methods for evaluating musical timbre and tone quality, and will provide new perspectives for research and practice in related fields. Therefore, we have attempted to clarify the concepts of timbre and tone quality in this article.
