Chronic pain is a complex and multifaceted condition that affects millions of people around the world, posing a significant challenge to healthcare systems and patients’ quality of life. In the context of an aging population, chronic pain becomes even more prevalent and impactful, requiring effective and personalized therapeutic approaches. This study is a bibliographical review, of a qualitative nature, including studies published from 2015 to 2024, selected through the PubMed, Scielo and Lilacs databases. 100 articles were found, 60 of which met the previously established inclusion criteria . The results were significant, with the association of conventional physiotherapy with new functional techniques, strengthening training or complementary therapies to reduce pain. It is concluded that physiotherapy is a great ally for the treatment of chronic pain, even in some cases being non-specific, but highlighting the importance of new experimental studies.
