ASSISTÊNCIA DE ENFERMAGEM NAS SÍNDROMES HIPERTENSIVAS ESPECÍFICAS DA GESTAÇÃO
In Brazil, hypertensive syndromes are the main cause of maternal mortality, with preeclampsia standing out globally, affecting 3% to 10% of pregnant women. The objective of this study is to describe the role of nursing in high-risk prenatal care in the context of hypertensive syndromes specific to pregnancy, such as preeclampsia and eclampsia. The methodology defined was an integrative review, with searches in the databases indexed in the Virtual Health Library (BVS), the National Library of Medicine (PubMed) and the electronic library of the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), to which the PICO strategy (population-intervention-comparison-outcome) was applied, selecting articles published between 2019 and 2024. The results indicated that nursing practice is guided by prevention, early detection of gestational hypertensive syndromes and technical mastery (knowledge and practice) of these syndromes. It was concluded that these qualifications configure the necessary profile for nurses to play their role in assisting pregnant women at risk of pre-eclampsia.
