Equivalent artificial neural network model of optically driven electro-optic Mach-Zehnder interferometer
The significance of artificial neural networks (ANNs) in complex algorithm design and analysis is undeniable. We have made a design using an electro-optic Mach-Zehnder interferometer (EOMZI), driven by a photodiode (PD). Therefore, the proposed EOMZI is optically driven. Depending on the input optical intensity to the PD, the optical output power of the EOMZI varies. The output signals are taken from the bar and cross ports of the EOMZI. Using the ANN model, variations of different parameters have been observed. From this model, the output signals of both ports have been successfully analyzed. In terms of the PD input light intensity, we have also analyzed the dynamic responsiveness of our proposed system.
