Ternary afterglow and dynamic anti-counterfeiting applications of self-activated zinc germanate

Self-activated zinc germanates show ternary persistent luminescence of blue, green, and near-infrared light, which are linked with native defects. Aliovalent Al 3+ -doped zinc germanates achieve new yellow emission and enhanced afterglow.
