Mechanically Active Materials and Devices for Bio‐Interfaced Pressure Sensors—A Review (Adv. Mater. 43/2024)

Bio-Interfaced Pressure Sensors Bio-interfaced pressure sensors deployed on the surfaces of organs or within internal cavities of the body can monitor health condition and track disease progression. Strain gauges buckled into a 3D form represent one type of emerging bio-interfaced pressure sensors. Such 3D geometries enhance the deformations in the direction perpendicular to the substrate, thereby increasing the sensitivity to normal pressure. More details can be found in article number 2205609 by Zhongyi Nie, Jean Won Kwak, Mengdi Han, and John A. Rogers.

Abstract

Rogers.
