Disturbance Rejective Repetitive_improved Second Order Sliding Mode Control for High Performance SPIM Drives

In this paper, a new robust adaptive Disturbance Rejective Repetitive _ Second Order Sliding Mode (DRRISOSM) control scheme using improved sliding mode control (ISOSM) technique combine with repetitive control (RC) to achieve the accurate speed control and strong anti-disturbance for enhancing Field Oriented Control (FOC) performance of SPIM drives, is proposed.First, the super twisting algorithm (STA) is combined with second order sliding mode (SOSM) to make increase the convergence speed and the reference tracking ability, enhance the robust and stably of drive systems, eliminates the chattering phenomenon. Then, to optimize the anti-disturbance performance, a plug-in RC is integrated into the ISOSM structure, combining of the benefits of improved SOSM with RC helps effectively improve the closed-loop control performances in terms of tracking and rejection of harmonic disturbance of the nonlinear SPIM drive systems. This control strategy also proposes a simple but efficient load disturbance estimator to help identify and proactively eliminate disturbances.Furthermore, the virtual control vectors are chosen based on Lyapunov theory, so that the system stability can be assured. The performance of the DRRISOSM control scheme is validated by Matlab-2023b, the obtained simulation results demonstrated the effectiveness and superior performance in terms of tracking reference and rejecting periodic torque disturbance, reducing speed oscillations by cancelling the effect of the torque disturbance of DRRISOSM control strategy against the conventional control strategy.
