Flash Communication: Nickel-Mediated Cyclotetramerization of Phenylacetylene to 1,2-Dihydropentalenylnickel Complex
The reactions of phenylacetylene with [MesNN]Ni(2,4-lutidine) ([MesNN] = 2,4-bis(mesitylimido)pentyl) (1) has been found to give 1,2-dihydropentalenylnickel complex [MesNN]Ni(η3-Ph4C8H3) (complex 2). The structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis.
