InGaAs-based transmission trap detector at telecom wavelengths

Abstract A photodetector based on two large-area InGaAs-photodiodes in transmission-type trap configuration has been studied. The alignment of the photodiodes provides polarisation-independent performance of the photodetector. The responsivity and spatial uniformity of responsivity and transmittance of InGaAs-based transmission trap detector are reported at telecommunication laser wavelengths of 852 nm, 1309 nm and 1545 nm.
