Rogowski Coil Sensors with Optical Output for Lightning Current Measurement in Aircraft Fuselage
Rogowski coil sensor have been proven to be valuable for measuring transient currents. Some applications are focused on studying the current flow through metallic joints in airplane fuselages during lightning strikes. In this work, an improved Rogowski coil sensor with optical transmission is presented. Additionally, we report the results of current measurements across fasteners at the junction of two panels, considering different configurations with missing fasteners.
