Cyber Security Glossary-The Next Step

The main goal of the article is to bring comprehensive information about the Czech-Slovak Cyber security glossary, created and developed as an academic activity and a student work at the Department of Informatics and Cyber Operations of the University of Defense and the Department of Informatics of the Armed Forces Academy. The literature review presents more aspects of cyber security, analyzes its problems, offers cyber defense procedures, and mentions the implications for education and training. Almost all sources mention the issue of cyber security terminology in the form of a taxonomy or a dictionary. The software engineering system named ATOM (Aion Topic Maps engine) is the basis of the Glossary, its ontology and characteristics are mentioned, as well as the functions of a knowledge system. The relevance of the paper from the engineering point of view is in the structure and functions of the glossary. The Glossary version 3 is described in detail, the core Chapter suggests the next step Glossary version 4. The range of terms should be doubled, and the modified structure of the Glossary with the new class THEME will ensure better orientation in the vocabulary of the dictionary, see an example “Network”.
