Field Strength Check Standard Probe Comparisons to Historical Measurements
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Boulder, CO, USA provides measurements of radio frequency field probes in a standard field. This service provides calibrations to industry and other government agencies, and performs inter-comparisons with other national metrology institutes. Check standard probes are periodically measured to maintain the consistency of the standard fields used for calibration. The NIST field strength calibration service was greyed-out from 2014 to 2021 for renovations. After the renovation, measurements of check standards were performed and compared with historical data. Here we demonstrate equivalence of generated fields at the NIST facility from 1996 to 2024 across the frequency range 900 MHz to 10 GHz from 6 three-axis check standard probes.
