Paisajes políticos o memorias del paisaje. Envolturas, niebla y humo en la fotografía argentina reciente
Faced with the premise of hypervisibility that governs contemporary societies, some Argentinean photographs imagine a politics and a poetics of space that resist these forms of domination. In them, envelopes, fog, and smoke seem to operate as obstructors of the control and disciplining necessary to make territories available, while at the same time fostering an encounter with the memories of the recent past. We analyse here the photographic series La envoltura de las cosas (2013) by Marcela Cabezas Hilb and Bruma (2017) by Santiago Porter, and the short film Las aguas del olvido (2011) by Jonathan Perel. These works take up the question of landscape and show the complexity of a metamorphic space.
