Examining Long-Term Influences of Frailty on Outcomes for Adults Undergoing Left Ventricular Assist Device Therapy
Some recipients of LVADs experienced physical frailty reversal with benefits sustained long-term. Those without improvement recorded worse long-term patient-reported outcomes. Identifying factors that predict physical frailty response to LVAD implantation is a key area of future research.
