The right to housing of the homeless population: na integrative review

The fundamental right to housing is provided for in the Brazilian Federal Constitution of 1988, but it does not reach all citizens, since the homeless population (PSR) is increasing in the country and causing impacts in several segments. In view of the above, how can homeless people have better access to public housing policies? The objective was to analyze published scientific articles and other documents that deal with the subject. The methodology was an integrative review, with bibliographic and documentary research in doctrine, legislation and jurisprudence, in addition to the articles selected to be included in the study. Regarding the purposes, it was qualitative. It is concluded that the PSR can have greater access to housing policies, since there are housing and income transfer programs, if there is real political will and broad adherence among the federative entities, in addition to the engagement and monitoring of the entire society.
