EXPERIÊNCIAS E CONTRIBUIÇÕES DA RESIDÊNCIA MULTIPROFISSIONAL EM INFECTOLOGIA NOS NÍVEIS DE ATENÇÃO À SAÚDE

Objective: To share the practices, learnings, and results obtained during the multiprofessional residency period. Methods: This is an experience report with a qualitative approach and descriptive nature, aiming to describe the experiences of the multiprofessional team in infectious diseases during their work in healthcare services. Results: The residents' involvement in health education through a multidisciplinary approach was effective in promoting health and early identification of health issues. Actions taken, such as rapid testing for STIs, not only increased public awareness of these issues but also facilitated access to essential health services and improved the quality of care. The text also emphasizes the importance of integrating different levels of healthcare to ensure more comprehensive and effective assistance. Conclusions: Specialists in Infectious Diseases are essential throughout the healthcare network and should be trained to work at various levels of care. Their involvement contributes to strengthening the SUS (Unified Health System) and expanding access to healthcare services, especially for vulnerable populations.
